Submission guidelines

Contributors are invited to submit long papers (6 pages) or short papers (2 pages).

Publication

The proceedings will be published online and extended versions of selected papers will be published as part of a journal.

Paper templates

Please use INTERSPEECH (LaTeX and MSWORD) author’s packages.
Please note that the INTERSPEECH templates are 5 pages long by default, please lengthen to max. 6 pages or max. 2 pages according to GESPIN2020 submission guidelines (see above).
Note that GESPIN 2020 is an extra edition in a conference series that happens every two years. This is an exception due to the postponement of ISGS 2020, the subsequent GESPIN meetings will take place in odd years again.

Venue

After GESPIN meetings in Poznań (2009, 2017), Bielefeld (2011), Tilburg (2013), Nantes (2015) and Paderborn (2019), the conference on speech and gesture interfaces comes to the Nordics. The 7th GESPIN will take place at the Department of Speech, Music and Hearing, KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.

The motif this year is: Express, perceive, sense and generate - humans and technological systems in multimodal dialogue.
We encourage contributions on the following recent issues in speech and gesture
  • Opportunities and limitations of machine learning for scientific discovery in gesture studies
  • Using gesture generation systems for hypothesis testing in basic gesture and speech research
  • Possibilities for diagnosis and therapy using multimodal signal processing and human-machine interaction with children and clinical populations.
